I cannot tell you how excited my family was to come to Castle Rock Resort in Branson. Like, we were ecstatic!! It’s got an indoor waterpark…. you don’t see many of those. My kiddos got off of school early (half-day), so our fun was able to begin after they came home, which was around 12:30. When we arrived here, the employee at the service desk was very courteous and helpful as she looked up my reservation and explained things to me. It was so nice to see such professionalism.
Our room is bigger than the “average” hotel room. It’s got BUNK BEDS for kids!!! My 3 older ones flipped out when they saw that our room had it’s own “mini” kids bedroom with bunk beds and a flat screen t.v. We settled right in, placing our clothes in the drawers and snacks in the mini fridge.
The kids were begging me and their dad to take them to the indoor waterpark, so we quickly got dressed and headed down there. I was pleased to see quite a few lifeguards around. They made sure that everyone was following the rules, so that no one would get hurt, but they were really nice about it, which made me happy. Even the lifeguards act professional. LOVE IT!
For dinner, we decided to get Pizza Hut, which is conveniently across the street from where we’re staying. Fantastic!!
The very next day, before dinner, we decided to head back on down to the waterpark. All of my kiddos (including my 9 month old) really enjoyed the ‘lazy river’ they have on the second floor. My 5 and 7 year old loved the water slides even MORE. I have to agree with them. My husband and I loved them too! When returning to our hotel room, my husband had mentioned that in the hallways, there was a musty smell of chlorine. After he had mentioned it, I started smelling it too. It didn’t smell in the room though, which was good.
I had expressed to my husband that I wanted to try the Tower Grill, a small restaurant in Castle Rock Resorts, for dinner. When we walked in, we were surprised to see that it was just us in there. There was a small buffet table and the register counter. The cashier was standing there with a smile on her face and was extremely courteous. Their menu was on their wall, like a fast-food restaurant. The prices were reasonable and the plates of food we ordered was reasonable as well.
To be honest, I was expecting a little more from a restaurant called the “Tower Grill”, but I can’t complain about the professionalism and kindness from the staff or the quality/price of food. We had decided to give breakfast a try there as well the next morning and we all got the buffet. My whole family was stuffed after our meal was over. Satisfied family, right here!!
All in all, my family and I had a great time at Castle Rock Resorts and Water Park in Branson, Missouri. The rooms were nice, the staff was professional and the water park was a lot of fun. If you’re ever in Branson and you need a place to stay, don’t hesitate to check it out!
